More popular than Santa

My daughter asked her two little sons who was coming at Christmas, meaning Santa, and instead they chorused “Nana”.
Being Nana is the best.

A change is as good as a rest

A change of direction for me for a little while. Years ago, when I was teaching myself to paint, I did a picture of two Cockatiels. For some reason, over the past couple of weeks, my eyes have kept straying to it. A hankering set in. A hankering to try something different. So, over the Christmas holiday, as my husband and I intend to spend most of our time in our shared studio (he makes model ships), I’m going to paint a series of animal pictures. By New Year I’ll probably be itching to get out the big brushes and vibrant colours again but, for now, I’m very much enjoying my new project.
